Biography

Debbie received a degree in psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara and a degree in physical therapy from California State University, Northridge. She is a credentialed clinical instructor and certified in administering treatment that regenerates healthy soft tissues — a therapy that regenerates healthy soft tissues and eliminates or reduces unwanted scar tissue that may be causing pain or movement restrictions.

With over 35 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy, Debbie brings a plethora of knowledge and expertise to Ventura Orthopedics. She started her career at UCLA outpatient therapy and went on to open her own private practice in West Los Angeles, which she ran for nine years. From there, she moved to Detroit and worked in sports medicine with an emphasis on shoulders and knees. For the last 20 years, she has been back in Southern California and focused on orthopedic sports rehabilitation in an outpatient physical therapy practice. Joining Ventura Orthopedics in 2008, Debbie is currently the Therapy Services Director along with continuing to practice as an orthopedic physical therapist.

Born in Santa Barbara, Debbie now lives in Oxnard with her husband of 42 years and they have two grown sons. Her interests include paddle boarding, cycling, cooking, sewing and reading.
