Biography

James received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Florida State University and went on to earn a Master of Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Before joining Ventura Orthopedics in 2018, he worked for seven and a half years as a hand therapist and, as soon as he met the requirements, became a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) in 2016.

James believes in individualized care for each and every patient and treats them as if they were his own family member. He specializes in upper extremity care and focuses on creative uses of exercise tools to mimic daily living activities or work conditions.

As a military brat, James was born in the Philippines and grew up in Florida, Japan and Germany. During his free time, he enjoys playing pool and darts along with watching movies. James and his wife Rachel, a CPA from Oxnard, live in Woodland Hills with their infant daughter Hailey.
