Katelyn received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Athletic Training from San Diego State University. She went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from West Coast University Center for Graduate Studies. Along with being a Certified Athletic Trainer, Katelyn is ASTYM certified and a Therapeutic Pain Specialist, specializing in treating individuals with persistent and chronic pain.

Prior to joining Ventura Orthopedics full-time in 2018, Katelyn worked with VO for two years as a physical therapy aide. She has also worked as an athletic trainer since 2010 with high school, collegiate and professional athletes. Katelyn has clinical experience in the acute care, skilled nursing and orthopedic settings, in addition to working in the sub-acute setting with traumatic brain injury and stroke patients. She believes that educating and empowering patients, incorporating functional movements with exercise and maintaining a strong mind-body connection is the key returning patients to full function.

In her free time, Katelyn loves traveling, camping, hiking stand-up paddle boarding, cooking, volunteering and playing with her two cats. She grew up in Camarillo and that is also where she currently resides. Fun fact, Katelyn rebuilt a 1956 Ford pickup from ages 13 to 18.
