Louisa L. Munger, PA-C
Louisa graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor’s degree in human biology, specializing in exercise physiology. She went on to earn a master’s degree in physical education from San Francisco State University while working as an athletic trainer for the school. Three years later, Louisa returned to Stanford to receive her physician assistant certification in primary care.
Prior to joining Ventura Orthopedics in 2016, Louisa worked as a physician’s assistant in various settings, including New Mexico and the San Francisco Bay Area. With over 25 years of experience, her primary area of focus is orthopedic care, specializing in sports medicine and joint replacement perioperative care as well as non-operative injury management.
Striving for a team approach in patient care, Louisa works with the patient’s orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist and primary care physician to provide optimal care for the patient to reach their goals.
A native of the Santa Ynez Valley (long before the wineries), Louisa lives in Ventura with “Bella the Wonder Dog” and her boyfriend, a longtime Ventura resident, surfer and artist. During her free time, Louisa enjoys hiking, sailing, swimming and playing on the beach.
