Scott Edwards, PT, MPT, SCS, TPI (Level 3)
Biography
Scott received a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Davis, a master’s degree in exercise physiology from San Diego State University and a master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Southern California (USC). He also completed a year-long residency in sports physical therapy at USC. Scott is board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association as a Sports Clinical Specialist. In 2016, Scott successfully completed Level 1 of the Titleist Performance Institute’s Medical certification, which includes education and training in golf swing analysis and movement screening to determine and correct the source of golf swing faults.
Scott has worked since 1994 as a physical therapist in both acute care and outpatient orthopedics and has spent the last 10 years working with professional athletes. He is interested in the crossover from a rehab stage to a sports reintegration stage, incorporating principles of therapy and rehab with principles of strength and conditioning. Scott joined Ventura Orthopedics in 2011.
Outside of Ventura Orthopedics, Scott is the physical therapist and strength & conditioning coach for the Ventura County Fusion Soccer Club. He is also working with the Guam Football Association’s national team in their pursuit for World Cup qualification in 2018.
