Mark J. Ghilarducci, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine physician serving patients in Oxnard and Ventura. He specializes in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee, with over 3,000 arthroscopic procedures performed. Dr. Ghilarducci is double board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine.
His passion for orthopedics began as an NCAA basketball player. He earned his medical degree from USC and completed a sports medicine fellowship at New England Baptist Hospital, where he trained with the Boston Celtics and Harvard University athletes.
Dr. Ghilarducci serves as the team physician for Rio Mesa High School and Oxnard College. He is actively involved in local medical education and orthopedic research.
Dr. “ G. “ is THE best! He’s been my orthopedic MD for 6 years, had a knee replacement and some issues with my hip. He is thorough and great bedside manners. His assistant Marilyn is the best out there as well. They really care to help one as a patient. I wish he would do my next replacement in about another 7 years or so…but I think he will probably be retired. It’s gonna be hard to replace him!
