Biography

Sean received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science from California State University, Northridge. He went on to attend Duke University where he earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. After working in sports medicine for two years, Sean went back to school and graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Northern Arizona University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist along with being certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy from The McKenzie Institute.

Growing up racing motorcross, Sean has experienced his fair share of bone and muscle injuries, making him interested in the field of orthopedics. He also enjoys fitness and understanding how the body improves with training and exercise which is what led him to degrees in kinesiology and physical therapy. Sean joined Ventura Orthopedics in 2020 and works with Dr. Hofer at the Ventura and Camarillo locations. He desires to help his patients reach their goals by finding the best treatment options possible.

The youngest of three kids, Sean grew up on a lemon ranch in Moorpark without a TV so it forced him to spend a lot of time outside. Because of that experience, he loves being outdoors doing activities like cycling, mountain biking and camping. Sean also enjoys reading medical journals and has a golden retriever named Duke.
