Biography
Timothy Rearick, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of foot and ankle disorders and sports related injuries. Born and raised in Ventura County, he attended college at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in biology. While in attendance, Dr. Rearick participated in the UCLA Sports Medicine Internship Program working as an integral part of the athletic training staff for the men’s basketball team. Through this experience, he became passionate about treating musculoskeletal injuries which started his pursuit of a career in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Rearick attended medical school in Florida at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine where he graduated at the top of his class and was selected for the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He then went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency training at the University of Southern California and Los Angeles County Medical Center. Dr. Rearick concluded his training with an additional fellowship year specializing in foot and ankle surgery with nationally recognized mentors at the renowned Institute for Foot and Ankle Reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore.
Throughout his training, Dr. Rearick has collaborated on numerous research projects and has published peer reviewed research in Foot and Ankle International. He has presented foot and ankle topics at the national level and his research has earned award winning recognition within his residency department. He is an Active Member Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Rearick returned home to Ventura County in 2016 to join the doctors of Ventura Orthopedics. His clinical interests include trauma, foot and ankle injuries in the athlete, foot and ankle arthritis, osteochondral lesions of the talus, flatfoot deformity, bunion deformity and Achilles and peroneal tendon disorders. Dr. Rearick offers both conservative and contemporary surgical options, including minimally invasive and arthroscopic procedures, as well as total ankle replacement surgery. He is committed to maximizing non-operative management and only proceeding with surgery when absolutely necessary, with personalized care for each patient in mind.
Dr. Rearick and his wife live in Ventura County with their three young children and two dogs. He enjoys spectator and adventure sports, finding the best cheeseburger in America and world travel when possible.
