Joseph Amis, PA-C
Biography
Born and raised in Michigan, Joseph earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and went on to complete a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University in Virginia. He is certified by the National Committee on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Joseph strives to provide exceptional patient-centered care and advocates for his patients by taking the time to explain all treatment options so they can make the best decision for their health.
While completing his undergraduate degree, Joseph worked as a medical assistant for a spine surgeon. During his master’s degree, he participated in two school sponsored trips to New Zealand and Morocco where he was able to provide medical care to a diverse group of patients.
Involved with sports his entire life, Joseph played on the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s basketball team. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball, tennis and soccer along with going on runs with his Jack Russell Terrier. He comes from a family of medical professionals — father is a physician, mother and brother are nurses and another brother is a physician assistant. Joseph has five siblings and his family fulfilled a lifelong dream by relocating from Michigan to sunny Southern California.
