Shelby Doud, PT, MPT, OCS
Biography
Shelby received her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, specializing in therapeutic exercise & rehabilitation in 2008 and a master’s degree in physical therapy from California State University, Sacramento in 2011. She is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist along with Graston Technique® certified. Shelby recently became SFMA certified in both level 1 and level 2. SFMA is a top down assessment of a client’s overall movement patterns that encompasses the entire body. If a movement pattern is considered dysfunctional, the pattern is broken down logically to determine the cause of the pain, not just the source. The goal is to optimize overall movement patterns to reduce injury risk, reduce pain and improve function.
Shelby joined Ventura Orthopedics in 2012 and has worked in the Simi Valley office, the Oxnard office, and has called the Ventura office home since 2015. In her spare time, Shelby enjoys spending time with her husband Daniel and two kids Avery and Dylan, and their golden retriever Bailey. Shelby has become an avid kite surfer since moving to Ventura and also enjoys snowboarding, skateboarding, surfing, wakeboarding and mountain biking.
