Sydney Brandes, PT, DPT

Biography

Sydney graduated from California Lutheran University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Southern California. During her doctoral program, Sydney gained experience working with orthopedic and sport diagnoses as well as persistent pain. Prior to joining Ventura Orthopedics in 2022 as a physical therapist, she spent two years working at the Thousand Oaks location as a physical therapy aide.

With the goal to always treat the root of the problem as well as addressing the whole person, Sydney wants her patients to walk away with a solution to their pain. And if the pain should ever arise in the future, she also wants to equip her patients with tools to address it.

Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, just outside of Seattle, Sydney moved to Thousand Oaks for college and currently lives in Los Angeles. In her free time, she loves hiking, camping, roller skating, practicing yoga and taking her dog out on new adventures.
