Victoria Palentino PT, DPT
Biography
Victoria graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Dance. She moved to Ventura in 2018 and worked as a physical therapy aide at Ventura Orthopedics until 2020. She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, California. She is certified in IASTM Level 1 and Selective Functional Movement Assessment Level 1.
Upon graduating, she earned the opportunity to open a new location for an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Temecula, California, and held the role of clinic director for that location. She has gained knowledge in post-operative, non-operative, neurological, and aquatic therapies, among many other presentations and interventions, as well as leadership and management. She has also worked as a physical therapist in a skilled nursing facility in Fallbrook, California, and in acute care at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura.
Having seen patients from the acute stage in hospitals to transitional care in skilled nursing facilities to their return to normal function at outpatient clinics, she believes that physical therapy should stem from a comprehensive standpoint, taking an individualized approach to care. She strives to foster positive patient-provider relationships to help her patients achieve the best quality of life, whether that be through sports, hobbies, work, or spending time with family and friends without limitations.
Her career goals include specializing in neurology rehabilitation and becoming a teacher to inspire Physical Therapy graduate students. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and playing with her dog and cat.
